Discover the core beliefs that shape our client-centred approach, designed to support you through grief, loss, and change.

Our pluralistic counselling approach

At The River Counselling, my foundation is in pluralistic counselling with a strong focus on person centred counselling.  This flexible, client-centred approach tailors therapy to your unique needs by integrating diverse methods. We believe that different clients require different support at different times. My process prioritises collaboration openly discussing at the what you hope to achieve from therapy and how best to get there.

Understanding children and neurodiversity

My extensive experience working with children and as a parent has provided deep insights into how children feel, behave, and develop. Many clients have sought to explore their unique way of being. Neurodivergence often presents daily challenges and negativity, often stemming from the environment we live in. Our counselling sessions provide a safe, empathetic space where we can collaboratively explore your own experiences.

Towards clarity and self-awareness

I don't claim to have all the answers, but together, we can collaborate to work towards your aims. My hope is that counselling will provide clarity, enhance self-awareness, and equip you with ways to live your life in the best possible way. We'll explore your journey at your pace, focusing on meaningful progress.

The River Counselling provides a truly supportive and understanding environment.
